Celebrity Tattoos

Celebrities are always in the news, on t.v., and in the movies. It seems that we just can't get enough of these people labeled as "stars". One popular item the magazines and media like to talk about is the different celebrity tattoos that they get on their bodies. We like to know what they represent and why they got them. Contrary to popular belief, most celebrities actually get really simple tattoo designs. There are the obvious exceptions, of course, but most of the time they get simple celebrity tattoos and go to tattoo parlors that are open to the public. Many of the designs they get are designs that hundreds of other people have already received. This article is dedicated to giving a few points on celebrity tattoos.

The first thing to note when studying celebrity tattoos is that many of them have personal tattoo designs. They do this in order to honor a family member or to signify certain events that have happened in their lives. For instance Pete Fonda has some stars on his arm that represent each of his children. Some of the most popular celebrities like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also have personal tattoos. Angelina has had tattoos of previous boyfriends and husbands, and some represent her love for helping children in other countries. Brad Pitt has designs that represent qualities that Angelina has, and also has some that Angelina drew herself. Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, has many tribal designs on his arms and shoulder to represent his rich polynesian culture. His designs represent unity and family.

Another simple fact about celebrity tattoos is that many of them are very simple designs. Johnny Depp has tattoos that represent his mother, and all are extremely simple. Britney Spears has a butterfly tattoo, which is held by many females all over the world. One of the main reasons that celebrity tattoos are so simple is that they don't want to compromise a future role by having tattoos all up their arms and legs. They typically go for smaller tattoos that won't have to be covered up by makeup when getting a movie role.

The last point about celebrity tattoos is that many celebrities spend a lot of money to get their tattoos removed or covered up. Many celebrity relationships fail, and names and tattoos are removed to try and erase those memories. For instance, Angelina removed Billy Bob Thornton's name when that relationship ended. Also, sports stars are known to change tattoos if they change teams. There are many different reasons for cover ups and celebrity tattoos, but in the end it is fun to know what kinds of tattoos popular people pick.
